Mortal Kombat 2 is slipping right now.
If you guys want it to be at ECT3, then please show your support and speak up now.

Here is the tournaments website: http://ecthrowdown.com/

Keep in mind that with MK9's hype we could potentially get a lot of other players to play and SEE MK2 be played at a high level.  This could be a very important tournament for MK2.  If you guys have the time and ambition, maybe playing at ECT3 bring in some new players.  Embarrassed

Maybe stream time? You never know, if it's going to happen, now would probably be the time if there is a nice turnout.  Carpool NYuckaz.

i gotta talk to dookie and david gem to see if they can go, if they do i will def figure something out and will def be there. if they could stream it that would be great, mk2 is dead now but i think the kollection coming out will fix that bc thats what everyone is waiting for, i will ask billy bats and mike caldwell if there is any chance they could make it, it def think its possible, and yes the new yorkers have no excuse since its right around the corner from them. i'll get back too you soon scheiss

Well if you guys are on the fence about this, I am just here to let you know that MK2 WILL BE STREAMED on Sunday if they can get enough serious players there.

So anyone who can make, please do so.  Let's get MK2 in front of a lot of people.

Congrats to Billybats on his win at ECT3.  I heard your final with David came down to the wire.

Thank you soooooo much Mike, dude, it means a hell of alot coming from people like you man. Me and david_GEM met up here in New York to head out to New Jersey to compete in the East Coast Throwdown MK2 Tournament. When we were near Madison Square Garden, he told me the news that you (MIKECALDWELL) couldn't make it. I felt bad about it because I felt this would've been a rare occurence, in which me you (MIKECALDWELL), david_GEM and btbb, would all face each other in an offline MK2 Tournament. And then, when me and GEM are in Jersey, we find out that btbb, a two-time tournament winner in his own right could not make it due to the lengthy travel distance.

My finals matchup with david_GEM, was one for the ages, and I am not just saying that cause I won, but because it came down to game 7, me and GEM tied at 3-3 and the championship on the line. It was a battle between my Kung-Lao against his Mileena, and it came down to round 3 to decide the Tournament. I took the first round, GEM took the second, it was so tense for me that I somehow held consistent and I did'nt let up. In the very final match, dave had a lead, and somehow I fought back into it. All I could vividly remember is catching him with a drop-kick on the right side of the screen, hearing 'FINISH HIM', and the rest is history. I dropped my head due to the emotional exhaustion I had felt, I could'nt believe that I had pulled this thing off. It was unbelievable on my end.

I have to give a shout out to david_GEM, he handled himself as professionally throughout the Tournament even till the end. He is a great player, and possibly one of the BEST MK2 players online. To have faced off against GEM was a pleasure, to have defeated him in the Tournament final was surreal, and I am extremely humbled by my win.

Also, thanks to btbb99, I have faced him for about two years now online, and its a priviledge to have you as a friend. Just before the Tournament, bt' lent me some advice as to what I should do, and who better to listen to than a former Two-Time Champ. Also, I have to give special thanks shout outs to xl-Gematria-lx, MIKECALDWELL, st-BiOZ, ProjectilePoint, Kanorules1, and TRUE_FRZNSLDR, just to name a few. Also to the people who helped make the event in New Jersey possible, 9.95, Shock, and the rest of the people at ClassicMK who made this thing possible. Thank you all...
