I'd like to formerly invite the RawMK2 members and players to Winter Brawl 6.  Winter Brawl 5 was one of the most successful MK2 tournaments in recent history and had an amazing roster of high level MK2 players.  You guys are absolutely some of the best, and though I know you like online play, I must tell you that these tournaments have generated some of the most heated rivalries we've seen... there has been crap talking, challenges, etc... all generated from these tournaments and I'd like to see some of the best from Raw come and play and compete.

Some of the very members here have been coming to the tournaments for a while:
DavidGem
btbb99
BillyBats

just to name a few...  Here's last year's list of players in place order:

MK2
1: David Gem
2: btbb99
3: DCIGuy
4: summ0ning
5: Dookiebrain
5: REO
7: DanCock
7: Shock
9: Dsinnie
9: Kazi
9: Steve N
9: AC1984
13: LORDWORM
13: Dark Rob
13: Julian
13: 9.95
17: Riu48
17: Storms
17: Comeback

I would love to see you guys there...Games will be recorded and likely streamed if we have the capability to(requires a verizon 4g aircard which we may have access to)... all by KombatNetwork

I do detect a tad bit of sarcasm, but it's cool... I wanted to invite you guys personally.  The fact is that these tournaments are an amazing amount of fun and the competition is outstanding.  I think you'd be very surprised by it...

I do realize that this site heavily promotes online play, and that's cool... but playing in offline tournaments is just an outstanding experience...  talk to David_Gem, btbb99, Billy Bats, and dookiebrain about it.

I generally don't play online for any fighting game because the lag always makes it too frustrating for me.

Regardless of any online vs. offline, this tournament stands to be one of the best in recent years with a lot of players from the MK Community in general, including many that the RawMK2 players know and play against, as well as a few that you have/had rivalries with.  It's a chance to get represent RawMK2 to the MK Community as a whole and to the Fighting Game Community as a whole.

The point is, I just wanted to invite everyone here and hopefully have a huge MK2 tournament, which ultimately I think everyone would want.

Again, 9.95, I would love to go and if I have the opportunity I most definitely will make it. I also appreciate you posting an invitation to the tourney, live tourneys definitely need to be supported. One thing that I don't really understand is the mentality of people who say that online play is garbage and offline play is the only way to play. I mean I agree that lag sucks and I would rather do without it, but what are my other options? The arcade scene is dead, I really don't even know of one arcade in my area that has any of the games that I play. Arcades nowadays are more for kids and casuals than for serious gamers. My only other option is to have a group of friends that I play offline with... which I do, but the competition level is slightly beyond beginner, and it gets old playing the same 5-6 people over and over. If I chose to only play offline, I might as well stop playing video games altogether. How do offline-only players play?

Actually, I notice that you list yourself as from NYC?  I'm in NY as well... Long Island, but still in NY.  I'm the owner of Kombat Network actually... I run the Valley Stream Monsters Thursday Night casuals.  It would be awesome to get you there one Thursday night and hopefully a group of some other MK2 players.. I know David is in NY and I can try to get Summoning and Steve N, as well as a big time old school player in JamessMK and a few of his friends...

It'd be great to get you there...

Just wanted to drop by real quick and say thank you to all of you who supported MK2 either at the tournament or in the stream during the tournament.

It was one of the hypest MK tournies ever, even with a low turnout.  I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and didn't even bother to watch UMK3.
