Has anyone successfully installed mame and played in kaillera using windows 7? I am thinking of upgrading my PC, but I want to be able to play. Undecided

btb has successfully. Although he couldn't get the ps3 controller to work so he just purchased a ps2 controller. Dont know if he just couldn't figure it out or what but it works...

I have it on this laptop, and it works. It's a pain in the ass, you can't change any options or anything without doing it manually in the .ini file, but it works.

I need to know, guys, cause i already have Windows 7 and i'm thinking about getting mame, but I really don't feel like having a headache with this thing.

David, I have windows 7 and use mame everyday. Of course win7 won't let you alter any properties in .64's menu, it's greyed out. So you have to change the ini file manually for your controller to read. I've tried changing the screen size from the ini file but it never works right, so I just change the screen settings by right clicking the top border and use the drop down menu. Mame .119 works real well on win7, but of course most everyone uses .64
