so ive been on the hunt for a decent priced mk cab for a while now and ive finally found one..im picking it up sunday on the way home from georgia for 150 bucks. sometimes it wont load at startup so im guessing the jamma board is getting old. but im planning on doing a computer based setup with hyperspin. my two questions i need answered is can i keep the original monitor in the cab by simply running an encoder and the 15hz mod and secondly is the2 player xarcade plug and play via usb.? before u all yell at me for changing the control panel imsorry but xarcade has more buttons which means i can play ki and street fighter and not use an mk layout. and my last question is can i configure each game in mame to have dedicated button configurations and it be saved. any help would be appreciated.

1. Yes, you can use the original monitor, but an ArcadeVGA card would be highly recommended. The Soft15Khz program CAN be used, but the video card MUST be ATI or NVidia for the Soft15Khz drivers to work.

2. Yes, the 2-Player X-Arcade can be used via USB.

3. Mame saves all your control settings when you exit the game, so once you configure all the games, there will be no need to ever do it again, unless you want to update Mame and if you don't import your settings/ini files, you'll have to configure all your controls again.
