I really didn't want to have to implement any rules, but I see now that even the most lenient forum has to have established rules. So here it goes:

RAWMK2 Forum Rules:

Posting

1. Absolutely no spamming of any kind. If you spam, you will either get a warning or be banned on the spot, depending on the severity of the spamming.

2. Racist comments are absolutely not tolerated. If you are a member of good standing and you use racist comments, you will most likely receive a warning and only one warning. If you are new to the forum and make a racist comment towards someone, you will be banned without notice.

3. As dvdcsn says, ANYTHING GOES, besides of course the rules above. If you have beef with someone and want to write a page explaining your feelings, please feel free to do so. You will not be banned for insulting or smack talking anyone as long as a. you don't resort to racist comments or b. you don't spam with post after post. However, it is generally not a good idea to directly insult an admin.

Tournaments

1. If you sign up for a tournament, you are expected to play within the allotted time. If for some reason you cannot complete your matches on time, but do not inform the host of the tournament or post on the specific tourney thread, it will count as an offense. If you receive two offenses, you will not be able to partake in the next three tournaments thereafter. If you have a schedule conflict but inform the host within a reasonable time that you are not able to complete your matches, you will not receive an offense.

Challenges

1. If someone challenges you, you are in no way obligated to accept the challenge.

2. If you issue a challenge to someone, the issuer of the challenge has 7 days to fulfill that challenge. If he does not fulfill the challenge, he will receive an offense. If you fail to fulfill three challenges you have issued, you will be banned. Rawmk2 encourages a little challenging smack talk to keep things interesting, but frowns upon people who challenge others simply to look strong then fail to meet their challenger within the allotted time. So in short, if you are going to challenge someone, be sure you have the time during the week to actually play them.

This is all I have so far. If anyone has any suggestions or opinions, please feel free to post them here.

i personally think 3 offenses is too much, i understand that things happen and maybe a player for whatever reason couldnt inform the host that they were not going to be able to play in tournament a but for this to happen 3 times to get an offense is a little too much to me. 2 offenses would be perfect

Looks all good to me. The only thing that I was thinking we should do is as rule #3 we should reinforce the idea one more time that we are an anything goes forum [almost]  Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

If we enforced this rule, we would have an 8 player tourney instead of a 26+ player tourney!  Cheesy Cheesy
