its gonna be a good Series no doubt. I personally think texas will take it tho, they are just a more talented team. They hit the ball well, Cliff Lee is most likley the best pitcher in the league right now, Hamilton is probably your AL MVP, defensively they're outstanding, the bullpen is solid and typically I feel like the American League is a superior league then the National League.

The Giants really need to take one of the Cliff Lee games to have a good shot at this series.

All really good points, hey your just echoing my own opinions, I do feel Texas is the far superior team. Now the Giants have a couple of things going for them, they came off of a series victory over the Philadelphia Phillies, which was a towering task. They also beat Roy Halladay (Former Toronto Blue Jay), and they defeated Roy Oswalt. No lie though, btbb99 was right, Cliff Lee is going on to become one of the best postseason pitchers of all-time, and your absolutely right, they need to take at least one victory in the series against him. Cliff Lee is one of the most impressive pitcher's I have honestly ever seen.

helmet to helmet hits the players should be fined obviously, they always have on that i thought, and any other illegal hit too, but they CANNOT start going around and fining everybody anytime a big hit is landed, i'm an eagles fan and the desean jackson hit was not an illegal hit to me, the guy robinson first hit him in the shoulder pads and the helmet eventually hit his head, but he didnt go for jacksons head, if they will start fining players for every hit then they will have to start fining offensive players too, i watched tonights game and it was 3rd and 1 and the viking needed to get the 3rd down to keep the game going and adrian peterson absolutley destroyed this poor defender for the packers lol, also there's a fullback on the eagles named owen smit, last weeks games there was a defender on the falcons (the defender was a safety that weighes about 75 pounds less then smit) that didn't see him and smit absolutely destroyed this guy with a brutal hit but the hit was legal. my point is they should def fine players for illegal hits but they cannot fine ANY PLAYER i dont care how brutal the hit is as long as its legal

ah sorry billy i didnt see your post. Great minds think alike i guess haha

i remember maybe 5 years back when cliff lee was with the indians he sucked HARD. I saw him pitch a bunch of times in person and the Sox always just shit all over him. Then maybe 3 years ago, all of a sudden he just snapped and hes been insane since then.

I feel like in baseball more then any other sport the "team of destiny" phenomena is really apparent. In 2005 when my Sox won they were the "team of destiny" every ball bounced they're way, every time they needed a hit they got it, Pierzynski pulled that B.S. will the ball "not touching" the ground. It was simply they're year and nothing was gonna deny then the title that year. When I watch the rangers play they have that same look to me, all the timely hits, the balls really bouncing their way. If I was a betting man Id put it on them.

Im rooting for the giants because they're the underdogs and I hate texas sports (sorry to any texans here; but FYI the cowboys arent americas team, they're a bunch of cock suckers)... I digress. But I would be very surprised if the giants won. Luckily for them though the NL won the all star game which means if they take it to game 7 they wont play in Arlington which I think is an advantage because the Rangers are really well suited to play in that ball park.

Word Bt. That was a brutal hit but it was definitely legal, to fine that guy was wrong. I mean fuck this is football people are gonna get hurt!

For the record, Ive got Jackson on my fantasy team and I was PISSED about that hit, hahaha but it was legit, nothin you can do about stuff like that except work on safer helmets i guess

Great point! You seem to be arguing on both ends, and I can't agree more, offensive players will always get away with those kinds of hits because they are not seen as the one's who are initiating the contact, the defensive players are. I also wanna give you credit as an Eagles fan for being honest about the hit on Desean Jackson last week by Dunta Robinson, honestly some hits are not intentional to the point of causing and or inflicting physical injury. Again it is up to the NFL to determine what they see as flagrant versus clean hits, they have to use their discretion when determining whether to fine players or not.

I was very disappointed that I didn't get into fantasy football this year, I think I could have drafted a good team.

I think you should be thanking the refs dude. It was a TD c'mon, no doubt about that. That was almost as much of a bullshit call as the blown call on the tigers Armando Galarraga's perfect game.
